Delphi Economic Forum launches ThinkPiece

Globalization is in its early stages, and it’s here to stay

Delphi Economic Forum launches Think Piece, a digital series of summaries of the main topics and issues raised during our annual meeting.

Our first issue provides an overview of the conversation between Robert D. Kaplan and Alexis Papahelas, one of the most outstanding conversations we enjoyed during Delphi Economic Forum IV. Robert D. Kaplan is the bestselling author of eighteen books on foreign affairs and travel, including “In Europe’s Shadow”, “The Revenge of Geography”, “The Coming Anarchy” and “Balkan Ghosts”.
Think Piece #2 will be an analysis of the conversation “The Emerging Africa” that took place in Delphi featuring “DIKTIO Network for Reforms in Greece & Europe” as a programming partner.

Namely, Western elites and politics are confronted with the bulk of society that has been left behind. “So far,” he says, “globalization has divided societies down the middle rather than pull all these countries together as a whole into some upper-middle-class cosmopolitan world.”
