
Living Cities: Mobility for everyone — German cities go dark — Self-driving post buses
Legendary urban planner Alex Garvin once said that what makes a city great are its “streets, squares and parks” — the spaces that “belong to us.” But all too often those spaces don’t belong to all of us — and are out of reach to people with physical or mental disabilities as a result of poor planning.
This week we’re looking at metro stations with no elevators, buses with risky staircases and tram platforms that lack ramps — and what cities are doing to address the issue.
